Teachers and Tutors
Full-Time/ Part-Time/ Hybrid/On-Site /Remote
Must have internet access, computer, flexible, teachers must be certified for the position, tutors must have experience. Both positions require a willingness to learn and grow.
Who we are: Learning Bridges NYC is a New York State and Department of Education, certified (M/WBE) teaching facility. Learning Bridges NYC, provides homeschooling, tutoring, after-school, in-person, and remotely, for students in grades K-12. We specialize in supporting students with Special Education and individualized learning needs. We design holistic educational instructional programs that specifically meet the unique needs of a child with and without disabilities.
Your Role as Teacher/Tutor:
Our educators are responsible for delivering individualized, age appropriated, functional level, standard-based instructional content to our learners in a way they can understand, digest and retain. To do this successfully, teacher/tutor must prepare lessons and instructional materials, manage student behavior and discipline, encourage and monitor student progress, and work with coaches, support staff, evaluators, other team members and other teachers to improve instruction.
Your Responsibilities as a Teacher/Tutor:
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate, and instructional appropriate lessons
- Establish and communicate clear learning objectives for all students
- Manage student behavior by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures
- Observe, evaluate and track students’ progress
- Provide updates and feedback to students, parents, and other teachers as needed
- Maintain accurate and complete student records (including grades, behavioral and attendance)
- Collaborate with other teachers, administration to improve instruction and student learning
- Participate in regular professional development to enhance instructional delivery methods and student learning
- Meet monthly or as need with administration to provide the most appropriate and effective learning for all students
- Must be willing to work Saturdays as needed
Your Qualifications:
- Teachers must be certified in their area
- Passion for working with students with and without special educational needs
